The pawanmuktasana series essentially help to activate the blocked energy flow. They consist of three simple, systematic and harmonized sequences of asanas (body postures) and can be practised by everybody.

No matter how young or old you are, whether you are healthy or not, everybody can benefit from the pawanmuktasanas.

Pawanmuktasana series:
1. Anti-rheumatic practices to release blockages and deposits in joints and extremities.
2. Practices to strengthen the digestive system and to free it of blockages.
3. Shaktibandas to release blocked energy in the pelvic floor and spine to raise vitality.

Even though most of the pawanmuktasanas are easy to practise, they cannot be regarded as only secondary or even be neglected. Even experienced practitioners are advised to include them into intense hatha yoga sequences in order to prepare the body for more demanding techniques.
